Sun Beams/Lesson 29

I made pink playdough for girls and blue playdough for the boys. I gave each child a ball and had them make a smiling face and I made yellow for the smile and eyes. The kids loved this.. The meaning of the smiley face is that when we say we are sorry we feel happy. I printed the playdough recipe and gave it to each kid so that they can make it at home with there family.

The playdough recipe..
Mix 1 cup of water, 1 cup of flour, 1/2 cup of salt, 2 tablespoons of cream of tarter, 1 tablespoon of oil and a few drops of food coloring in pot and heat over medium heat until it conjeals. Remove from heat then knead on aluminum foil or wax paper.

Sun Beams/Lesson 26

"Families can be together forever"

We are going to make this temple box I saw online and have the kids color all circles and put into a book and we are going to put the little book of ways to prepare to go to the temple in the temple box. Send pics when I make it.

Sun Beams/Lesson 23

This lesson was about "I belong to a family". We had a picture of a tree and little apples. We cut out the apples and put the names of each member in the childs family on every apple and they got to paste the apples in there family tree. We wrote up top (My Family Tree) and at the bottom (I belong to a family).

Sun Beams/Lesson 25

This lesson is "I love my whole family" so at the top it says

Dear mom and Dad, Today in Primary, I learned about my whole entire family! I have grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins, too! Please help me fill in the letter below and deliver or mail it to someone in my extended family. Be sure include my "hug" from class today! Thanks, Your Sunbeam.

Then we had the kids color the hug picture and folded the arms in so when they open the arms they read the message. The kids really enjoyed it so much and they loved how they got to decide who they wanted to send the letter and hug to.

Sun Beams/Lesson 24

Lesson 24 is about Loving your brothers and sisters. We had the kids glue on a hershy kiss on each paper for each of their brothers/sisters for them to give to them to show them they love them and do something nice for them. We also printed the big heart picture and had them paste or color stick figures of how many brothers and sisters they have and what they like to do with them or how they show they love them.
